Home » Gynaecomastia (Male Breast Tissue)
Male breast tissue is a common problem, causing significant social and phycological upsets. Surgery may involve liposuction or direct excision of tissue and or skin. It is not always possible to predict what operation will work until the time of surgery itself.
The operation may be local or general anaesthetic, daycase or an overnight stay.
It is usually possible to return early to work and even sporting activities.
As restrictions have eased a little, I am happy to be able to see patients again. Clinics are opening at the One Hospital Ashford and the Chaucer Hospital in Canterbury.
Waiting times for new consultations may be longer than usual but I am working on this. Surgery space is still restricted as the NHS still has the use of the private hospitals. However things are changing all the time.
